Lunar Phases
Simple Schooling The Lunar Cycle explains to 2-5th graders how the phases of the moon work. Students will view each phase in the cycle separately and will be presented with images and animations to help explain the differences between each one. Students will also learn about moonrise and moonset, the different names of each month’s full moon, where the moonlight comes from, the difference between a solar and lunar eclipse, and the solstices and equinoxes.
